Looking for a ManaBox alternative?
ManaBox is a fast card scanner, and for most players it's the right app to keep. If you're looking for an alternative, you're probably missing one of three things: a big screen, decks built from what you own, or a straight line to Cardmarket in euros.
Last checked: Oct 13, 2026. RuneBinder is a free fan project and isn't affiliated with ManaBox.
What ManaBox does well
- Scanning. ManaBox is a phone app built around scanning cards into your collection.
- Prices from several sources. It supports TCGplayer, Cardmarket and Mana Pool, plus Card Kingdom, Star City Games and Cardhoarder. For Cardmarket it can use the 30-day average, low or trend price. [S3]
- Decks from your collection. It can show the missing cards per deck, and build decks from your collection. [S6]
- Your data is yours. You can export your whole collection as a CSV file. [S4]
- Many languages. The app is available in 14 languages, including Dutch and German. [S7]
What ManaBox doesn't do (yet)
- No web app. ManaBox says it's "currently developing a desktop app (Windows/macOS/Linux) instead of a web app." Until that's out, your collection lives on your phone. [S2]
- Buying goes to US stores. From a list you can buy directly at TCGplayer or Card Kingdom. Cardmarket isn't mentioned as a buy option. [S4]
That's not a flaw for everyone. If you play from your phone and buy in the US, ManaBox already covers it.
Where RuneBinder fits
RuneBinder doesn't scan cards. It reads your ManaBox export and gives you:
- Your collection on a big screen. Search and filter thousands of cards in your browser, on a laptop or a TV. Free, no account, no install.
- Decks from what you own. Every card you're missing shows up with its price right away.
- What you're missing, in euros, to Cardmarket. A total with a date, and one click to copy the list into a Cardmarket Wants list (in blocks of 150 lines, Cardmarket's limit).
You keep scanning in ManaBox. When your collection changes, export again and import it again. RuneBinder reminds you when your last import is more than 30 days old.
Try it: open your ManaBox collection on a big screen (no account), or look around the demo collection first.

When something else fits better
- You want to stop using a phone scanner altogether. RuneBinder can't scan. Keep ManaBox, or another scanner that exports a CSV.
- You want a deck builder with a big community and public decklists. Look at Moxfield or Archidekt. Moxfield can import a ManaBox collection too, with an account. See our Moxfield vs Archidekt comparison.
- You want one account for everything, with phone apps. Grimoria offers a web app and phone apps, imports ManaBox files and shows Cardmarket prices; collection and deck builder need an account. [G3, G4]
FAQ
Is RuneBinder made by ManaBox?
No. RuneBinder is a separate, free fan project and isn't affiliated with ManaBox. It only reads the CSV file that ManaBox lets you export.
Does RuneBinder replace ManaBox?
No. RuneBinder doesn't scan cards. ManaBox stays your scanner; RuneBinder is the big screen next to it, with decks and Cardmarket prices in euros.
Does my collection sync with ManaBox automatically?
No. ManaBox has no public link for that. Export a new CSV when your collection changes and import it again. You see a preview before anything is saved. Your decks stay, and wishlist cards you now own get checked off.
