What's new in RuneBinder

The newest improvements first.

37 more precons, from Fallout to Final Fantasy

  • The precon pages now cover 55 Commander decks, including Fallout, Warhammer 40,000, Doctor Who, Final Fantasy, Duskmourn and Bloomburrow.
  • The precon checker compares your collection with all of them.
  • Prices on the precon pages are now refreshed every week.

The precons in Dutch and German too

  • All Commander precons with their value in euros now exist in Dutch and German too.
  • Importing a decklist from Archidekt works better: labels are removed and the maybeboard no longer counts as owned.
  • The emails to confirm your account or sign in are now in Dutch and English.

Which precons you almost own, and a log for the life counter

  • New free tool: check your collection against every Commander precon and see per deck how many cards you already own and what the rest costs.
  • The life counter keeps a history of the game: who got life, poison or commander damage, and when. Find it under 🎲.
  • The home page now shows real pictures of the app, and the Dutch home page loads faster.
  • About RuneBinder, the method and the privacy statement are now in the footer.

Dark theme everywhere, and the rulebook in German

  • If your phone is set to dark, every screen of the app is now dark too: decks, wishlist, account and the card window.
  • Importing again: choose whether to replace your collection or add the new cards. A pasted list adds by default.
  • Nothing found? Search all cards in one tap, and get back just as easily.
  • The demo now has two decks and a filled wishlist.
  • With four players on a phone, the life counter shows full labels for poison, energy and commander damage again.
  • The rulebook, the keywords and the life counter now exist in German too.

Card names in any language, and the tools in German

  • Paste a list with German, French or other card names ("Blitzschlag", "Foudre") and the tools and the import find the right card.
  • The free tools now exist in German too, under /de/tools/.
  • Two honest comparisons, with sources and dates: ManaBox alternatives, and Moxfield vs Archidekt.

One rulebook, and search across all rules

  • Search the rulebook across the basics, formats, play styles, keywords and sources in one go.
  • The Rules tab in the app now opens the same rulebook as the website.
  • On every format page, one click shows which of your cards are legal in that format.
  • New free tools: what your ManaBox collection or a deck is worth, a decklist to Cardmarket, and a deck checker with your Commander bracket.
  • Commander precons: what each deck is worth in euros, the full list, and in one click which cards you already own.
  • The Commander brackets explained, with the current Game Changers list.
  • Import your collection from Moxfield, Deckbox or Archidekt too, and search cards by their German, French or Japanese name.
  • 46 keywords are explained again following the official rules, and the mulligan is now in the basics.

Every keyword, and a new front page

  • The glossary has all 303 official keywords, plus 70 ability words like Landfall, with a search box.
  • The front page now says what RuneBinder is for: building decks from the cards you already own.

Two commanders and better sharing

  • A deck can have two commanders: partner, background, friends forever and Doctor's companion.
  • Before you share a deck, you first see exactly what others will see, notes included.
  • Exporting to CSV now keeps everything: binder, misprint and altered.
  • Cardmarket opens in your own language, and large collections save faster.

A new layout on your phone

  • On your phone, Collection, Decks, Wishlist, Play and Rules sit in a bar at the bottom.
  • Per deck you see what you're missing and what it costs, and copy it to Cardmarket in one go.
  • Search now also understands OR, is:, id: (color identity), pow and tou.
  • Deleted something? The message has an "Undo".
  • Large collections show their first cards within a second.

A life counter for the table

  • The life counter works on its own on the website, no account needed, for 2 to 6 players.
  • Commander damage, poison, energy, experience and the monarch; every tap can be undone.
  • A die roll for who goes first, and each player can play one of your decks.

Start without an account

  • RuneBinder works without an account: your collection stays in your browser until you make one.
  • Try the demo collection first, or paste a card list if you don't use ManaBox.
  • An import first shows what will change, before anything is saved.
  • You can sign in with a link in your email, no password needed.
