About RuneBinder

A free web app for Magic: The Gathering players that starts from your collection, not from the deck.

What RuneBinder is

RuneBinder is a free web app for Magic: The Gathering players. You add your collection, usually as a ManaBox export, and see it right away on a big screen. You build decks from the cards you already own. And for every deck you see what you're missing, and what that costs on Cardmarket, in euros.

There are also free tools that work without an account: deck value, collection value, decklist to Cardmarket Wants, a deck checker with Commander bracket, Commander precons by value, a precon checker that shows which precons you already half own, and a life counter. Plus a rulebook in plain language.

What RuneBinder isn't

Who makes it

RuneBinder is an independent hobby project from the Netherlands, made by a Magic player who wanted to see their own collection on a big screen. No company, no investors.

Rules explanations are checked against the official rules; how exactly is on the method page.

Why

Many players keep their cards in ManaBox on their phone. It scans fast, but searching a collection of thousands of cards, or building a deck from it, is easier on a big screen. ManaBox has no web app; they're working on a desktop app (ManaBox FAQ, checked Oct 13, 2026).

A deck builder usually starts from the deck. RuneBinder starts from what you already own, and ends at Cardmarket, where many European players buy their cards.

How RuneBinder is paid for

RuneBinder is free and has no paid tier. There are no ads. The button to Cardmarket is a plain link: we earn nothing from it. The card window and the wishlist have an affiliate link to the price comparison service CardNexus. If you buy there, we earn a small commission; you pay nothing extra. How that works is on the method page. The commission helps with the running costs; the maker pays the rest.

The affiliate link always carries an explanation, and in the card window Cardmarket stays the first button. There won't be a paywall: what's free stays free for everyone.

Privacy in short

Without an account, your collection stays in your browser. With a free account it lives in your account (Supabase, in the EU), so you have it on every device; only you can see it. Your ManaBox file is read in your browser, not uploaded as a file. For card images and prices, your browser asks Scryfall for the cards. We don't use tracking cookies. The full details are in the privacy statement.
